How Hard is it to Start Making Money Online?
Have you ever looked around and thought, “I missed the boat. It’s too late for me to start something online now”? If so, I’ve got some good news — and a little nudge — for you today.
Let’s start with this important point…
Ever wondered how to start making money online, but felt like you missed the boat? You’re not alone — and it’s definitely not too late.
And you don’t need to become a tech wizard or build the next Facebook either. You just need to start small, be consistent, and use what you already have: experience.
What If You’ve Tried Before and Failed?
That’s fine. Most people do.
Maybe you started a blog that nobody read. Maybe you joined a course that didn’t click. Maybe you tried dropshipping and ended up with £3 profit and a pile of unsold socks.
It doesn’t mean you’re not cut out for this. It just means you tried something…it didn’t work out…and now you know more than before.
Take a minute to ask yourself: what tripped you up? Was it a lack of time? No clear plan? Tech overwhelm? Whatever the reason, pick just one of those things to fix this time around.
And ignore the hype. Real success online takes time, patience, and trial and error.
You probably won’t make £10k in your first month….
But your first £100? That’s doable.
Low Barrier of Entry
Any long-term readers of The Digital Dividend will already know that there are loads of opportunities to start earning money online, and there’s never been a better time to start than right now.
If you’re still unsure where to start, maybe one of these ideas is up your street:
Remote jobs – Look for customer service or admin roles you can do from home.
Freelance your skills – This could be writing, bookkeeping, admin, tutoring, or design. These are all in demand services. You can use platforms like Upwork or Fiverr to get gigs and advertise your services
Sell stuff online – Start by selling what you already own but don’t use. This probably won’t make you rich, but you can use the money to help fund your next online business venture.
Online gigs – Surveys, user testing, matched betting (if done right), or microtasks can all bring in a little extra cash.
The trick is to smart small, because that first win, no matter how small, will build your confidence. And remember, everyone who’s ever made money online started this way.
Want to Build a Digital Business?
There are lots of ways to build a digital business these days, even with zero experience.
You could write an e-book or course about what you know…
…or start a YouTube channel or podcast on a hobby or subject that you’re passionate about…
…or maybe even offer coaching or consulting services via Zoom.
Or, if you want a done-for-you business which is already set up and ready to go – Then check out the Passive Digital Mastery site for more details.
The key is to start doing, not just researching. Remember, imperfect action beats perfect inaction every time!
